Photo resizer
Set a width and height in pixels or a percentage, choose the quality, and optionally a target file size. Your photos are resized inside your browser, and the original files are not uploaded. What you make is recorded with a small preview to prevent illegal use. With a target size, the tool tries lower quality step by step until the file fits.
- Your files stay on this device.
- Photo details such as location and camera are removed.
- A target size works with JPG, WebP and AVIF. PNG has no quality setting.
- If a photo cannot get under the target size, make the width or height smaller too.
- Very large photos can take a while, and some phones cannot handle them at all.
Questions people ask
How does the target size work?
The photo is saved at your quality first. If the file is bigger than the target, lower quality settings are tried step by step and the best one that fits is kept. If even the lowest quality is too big, you will see a note; making the width or height smaller helps.
Is location data removed?
Yes. The photo is drawn again and saved as a new file, so details stored inside it, such as location, date taken and camera model, are not copied.
Are my images uploaded?
Your original files are not uploaded. Your browser opens, changes and saves them on your own device. To prevent illegal use, we record what you make (file names, sizes, settings and results) with a small preview image.
