Website uptime monitor

Enter a web address and we open it every 5 minutes. You see whether it answers, how fast, and when its certificate runs out.

Only http:// or https:// on the normal ports. Addresses inside a home or office network are not accepted.

Anyone with the link can see whether it is up. The management link stays private.

A Discord or Slack webhook address, or a Telegram bot address ending in /sendMessage?chat_id=… We send a message only when the site goes down or comes back.

Questions people ask

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free and there is no sign-up. Each watch gets its own management link, and that link is the only key, so keep it somewhere safe.

How do alerts work?

Give us a Discord or Slack webhook, or a Telegram bot sendMessage address. We send a message when the site stops opening and when it comes back, at most 3 messages for one problem. There are no email alerts.

What counts as down?

We first ask with HEAD, and if that fails, with GET. Any answer from 200 to 399 counts as up. An error code of 400 or more, no answer within 10 seconds, or a certificate problem counts as a failure. We follow up to 3 redirects. After a failure we check again a minute later, and only two failures in a row mark the site down.

Which addresses cannot be watched?

Addresses inside a home or office network, this server itself, and ports other than 80 and 443. We look up the name each time and check where it really points before we connect.
