Send a file with an encrypted link

Pick a file and you get a link to send. The file is locked (encrypted) in your browser before it is uploaded, and the link carries the key to open it. Free, no sign-up.

File
Delete it after

Good for things only one person should get. Once someone downloads the whole file, the link stops working.

The password is mixed into the key. Tell it to the other person another way, for example by phone. We do not keep it, so we cannot help if it is lost.

Questions people ask

Who can open my file?

Anyone who has the full link, and the password if you set one. The file is locked (encrypted) in your browser before upload. Our server also keeps a sealed copy of the key, and we open a file only when it is reported or when we need to trace illegal use. We record every upload and download: IP address, browser, time, file name and size.

How long do you keep the file?

You choose 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days, and we delete it after that. If you tick "Delete after the first download", it is deleted as soon as someone downloads the whole file. You can also delete it any time with the management link.

What if I lose the link or forget the password?

We cannot send the link again, because we cannot tell who uploaded the file. We do not keep the password either. Upload the file again and send a new link.

Is it safe to open a file I got this way?

Only open files from people you know. We do not check files for viruses. If a link looks wrong, report it on the download page and we may check the file.
