Googly eyes
Pick a character and its eyes roll after your mouse. On a phone, slide your finger over the picture. You can also put eyes on your own picture or add one to your website.
Pick a photo or drawing (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 20 MB). It opens inside your browser and the original file is not uploaded. What you make is recorded with a small preview to prevent illegal use.
Edit the picture
Place the eyes
Drag an eye on the picture to move it. The eye you picked has a dotted ring.
Add to your website
Put the current character on your blog or website. With one script line, the eyes follow the mouse anywhere on that page.
Try it on AppDogu
Float the character you picked, with the same position and size, in a corner of every AppDogu page. It is drawn by the same code as the real widget. The setting is saved in a cookie on this device.
To use your picture in a widget
To show it on another site, your picture has to be uploaded to the AppDogu server. Before upload it is shrunk to 512 px on the long side, and the server draws it again, so hidden data such as photo location is removed. Up to 1 MB per picture and 10 pictures a day per IP address. If it is not used anywhere for a year, we delete it. Do not upload pictures that are not yours or that break the law. Pictures with several reports get blocked.
Preview
A few notes about my day. The character keeps looking at your mouse.
An iframe only follows the mouse inside its own box, because browsers do not tell an iframe where the mouse is on the rest of the page. Use the script code to follow the mouse across the whole page. An iframe cannot float; it shows where you paste it.

Questions people ask
What is this for?
Just for fun. The eyes of a character roll after your mouse or finger. You can also hide one on your blog or website as a little easter egg.
Is my photo uploaded?
Putting eyes on a picture and saving it as PNG happen inside your browser, so the original file is not uploaded. To prevent illegal use, what you make is recorded with a small preview. Only when you want your picture in a widget on another site do we upload a copy shrunk to 512 px, after you agree.
Where do the eyes look on another site?
With the script code, they follow the mouse anywhere on that page. With the iframe code, they only follow the mouse inside the iframe box and look around on their own the rest of the time.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Touch the screen and the eyes look at your finger. On a phone you can also tap "Roll by tilting" and tilt it to roll the eyes. iPhones ask for permission first.
